My sons (14 and 11) and I were on a cruise that made a port call in Nassau.  We wanted to try fishing while we were there so I read reviews to try to find a good guide. I read many good reviews for Tevaughn Adventures and decided to book a 4 hour trip.  From the start of the trip I knew we would have a good trip. Captain Ted and his first mate made us feel welcome and offered us waters and sodas.  As we headed to the fishing spot he told us about Nassau and the Bahamas, pointing out key locations and telling us about the area. 
He then pointed out the homes of many celebrities who have vacation homes.  The conversation is not something I expected on a standard fishing charter and it was great to learn more about the area.

After that he took us to a spot and put us on fish right away. He also showed us how to fish the Bahamian way with a hand line. One son pulled in a good sized Parrot fish. We caught a great variety of fish that we don’t catch where we fish.

Captain Ted was a great host and worked to make sure we were back to our cruise on time.  He is a good man and knows how to fish the area.  If we are in Nassau again we will fish with him again!

Captain Ted was awesome, boat was well stocked with cold beverages, and he took us to multiple locations trying to get on the fish. We caught fish at all three locations but the third was definitely the best. Between my daughter and I we easily caught 40 fish many had to be thrown back, but then he cleaned the keepers, when we were done and we took them next-door to the restaurant and they cooked it wonderfully. Would definitely come back and take his charter again.

One thing to note we were on the boat for the entire four hour charter. Then when we got back, he cleaned our fish for us, in the past I have had captains keep us on the boat for 3 1/2 hours saying the time it takes them to clean the fish is included in the four hours. Captain Theadore (Ted) made this one of our favorite fishing charters to-date.  He is knowledgeable, personable and great with kids. He dodged pop-up storms all afternoon and put us right on top of a variety of fish (we caught 8), then a beautiful reef for snorkeling, then a group of sea turtles. We ended the charter with a swim at a secluded stretch of Rose Beach in crystal clear, 84-degree water. 

The right captain makes all the difference, and Ted is among the best we’ve encountered.  Highly recommend!

Captain Ted was a great captain for us. We were down here celebrating the 10th birthday of our grandson. We took a 4-hour charter. Captain Ted helped us catch several fish, took us to swim with the turtles and took us to a small reef for snorkeling. Our safety was his top priority. He was super friendly and Outgoing, cleaned our catch and gave recommendations of restaurants that would cook our catch.  He gave us a history lesson about the histor y of thei island. He was great. I would recommend him for anyone.

We had a great time with Captain Ted! We did a full-day excursion which included swimming with pigs, fishing, lunch at Footprints, swimming with sea turtles and snorkeling on a reef. We caught a lot of fish which we grilled up that night. I will say the only thing is they didn’t have a dock where they could clean the fish, so we had to do it ourselves. Other than that, everyone had a great time. Captain Ted was very knowledgeable and had great vibes! Would highly recommend.
