- For Captain Joe, there's something magical about being on the ocean; the experiences he's had on the water are some of the most memorable and vivid memories of his entire life. The ocean challenges, rewards, humbles, and teaches... sometimes all at the same time! He has spent his entire life on the water, not only fishing, but kayaking, snorkeling, racing sailboats, and more. He's fished all over the West Coast for numerous species and enjoyed the challenge of the hunt and especially the table fare of freshly-caught seafood. It’s Captain Joe's goal to provide a memorable experience in the ocean that is safe and fun. He enjoys meeting new people and sharing what he knows about catching fish off the coast. One of his favorite experiences taking people out into the ocean is seeing them land their first Salmon, Halibut, or whatever kind of fish they are chasing. The captain will work hard to get you on the fish and make sure you have a great time. After a really successful first year in operation in 2022, Captain Joe and Good Time Charlie Sportfishing are looking forward to an even better 2023 season on the Oregon Coast!
