- Hi, I’m Captain Harvey Wall. I’m a North Carolina native, a proud U.S. Army veteran, and a graduate of the United States Maritime Academy. I’ve been a fishing guide since 2000, helping anglers of all skill levels learn more about fishing — and have a great time doing it. My love for fishing started early, thanks to my great-grandfather, who first put a rod in my hands. Ever since, I’ve spent my life on the water learning the best ways to consistently put fish in the boat. When you fish with me, you’re in for a fun, hands-on experience. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, I’ll make sure you enjoy the trip while learning a thing or two about fishing in the Carolinas. Let’s get you on the water!
- Techniques
- I specialize in light tackle lure fishing and fly fishing for inshore species such as Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. My inshore trips are ~95% artificial lures, primarily fishing jigs, soft plastics, and topwater lures. Kids trips, and charters specifically targeting Black Drum or Sheepshead, may use natural bait when it gives us the best chance for steady action. For nearshore trips, we mix it up with bottom fishing, jig fishing, and trolling, targeting species like Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Cobia, Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, Bull Redfish, and sharks.
