What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fellsmere, Florida for the first time?

Bass is catch and release at this time at headwaters lake, but the fishing and catching was fun. If you know that going in, and don't have your heart set on bringing home dinner, this is the place to book.

The best bass trip I've ever had in Florida. One trip to Deland on Lake Woodruff was very good, but Fellsmere is "the Bomb". (As a senior citizen, I understand that something very good is called the bomb.) Have been to Palatka a couple of times to watch the pro's fish. In 2019, Rick Clunn won the tournament. He is now 75, so don't give up!

We hoped to get some action on top water bite but fish weren’t interested. Take your wife and kids and learn how to fish with live wild shiners. So cool watching shiners react to bass before the bite. Lots of action.

Be open to what the captain had to say about the lake, after all they are the experts.

Open water grass & intersections with flats & grass proved to be key locations. fast moving bladed jigs worked best.

Have some artificial lures and I made sure we had some live bait and you will have a good time
