What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Newport, Rhode Island for the first time?

Make sure you look at the weather forcast cause you may end up needing to wear a few layers especially when your speeding around on the boat cause the wind makes it feel freezing.

It’s chiller than you think. Water’s running about 55*, so any breeze feels cold. Just be prepared to layer up.

Day started kind of cloudy but the water was calm and day ended up beautiful. Perfect day for fishing.

Be patient and get with a good captain and charter. You will have fun and they will put you on the fish. Make it a trip with the kids. They have a blast and it is great seeing them have a blast.

Keep an eye on weather but overall it's a beautiful time in RI to be on the water
