What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Puerto Plata for the first time?

Me and my friends had a great time. We didnt catch anything and the Captain gave us 2 extra hours for free trying to find the fish. I am coming back and try it again in May. I would highly recommend Zs.

Remember it’s called fishing not catching ( however it’s a lot more fun catching!!!) enjoy your time on the water with friends and hopefully the fish are biting!

To make sure and look at fishing reports before you book your trips. We knew it was a slow time and they beat expectations so we weee happy.

I would give Puerto Plata 5 stars for July, but it is pretty hot. A few degrees cooler would be perfect.

I think the fishing is as good as the charters skill level is. There were a lot of fish there at the time. But we were the only charter to catch that day.

Awesome boat and crew. Water was very rough the day we fished but felt very safe on this beautiful boat.

If you think you will catch fish? Forget it. 5 hours , no fishes. No info before trip about seasick and how to protect Money wasted. The worth birthday i have ever had

Bring a nice cigar and enjoy your time A bad day of fishing us better then a good day of work, unless you're Captain Nelson THE BEST.

Be sure to watch the weather for sure and see which fish are running during which seasons and be reasonably with your expectations- It’s Fishing not catching

I was only on the boat for a hour. I don’t expect to catch anything when that happens. That you for your hospitality.

Take something for sea sickness and don't expect to catch what you hoped for. It's the experience you are going for.

Just leave expectations at home and have a great time because they will give it to you.

Very choppy waters. We were ok but definitely bring Dramamine or be ready for some nausea.

Don’t waste your money or time filthy ocean and people expect to be paid before they do the work

It was impossible to fish in the rough sea’s 10-20 foot waves, everyone puking.

Sit up front if you experience motion sickness and wear a long sleeve fishing shirt!

Be prepared if you get motion sickness to take something so you don't get sea sickness.

We caught a white marlin and a couple mahi. Both were fun watching being reeled in and reeling in.

The wind and waves are bigger in the afternoon, so I would book a morning trip.
