Go when you’re here as every time on the water is a time to cherish. February is the off season with scattered fish & low water level. Spin cast with fast retrieves is fishing as tough as it gets but in our case persistence & high work rate coupled with Capt. Paul’s knowledge was productive!

Captain Paul will work hard for you. If you are bringing beginners be sure to give him plenty of notice so he can catch enough live bait. Experienced.fishermen will get plenty of action throwing spoons but those not adept at casting may be better off with live bait. We caught 23 fish. Most were 2-3 lbs. This is a catch and release fishery

Don’t eat or drink any coffee before the trip. Bring sunscreen and a light poncho in case it rains.

Even with 70 degree water temperatures. Winter time fishing can be slower than other seasons on the water.

If you never caught Peacock Bass I highly recommend adding them to your fish catching experience. They are super aggressive and fight hard. Sooo much fun!

Bring sunscreen and sun protection clothing. If you have fly gear and want to fish it, bring it.

Check weather for rain. I bought and brought rain panchos and definitely needed them.
