Be patient, the captain will do everything he can to put you on the fish and the crew will take good care of you too. Just remember it's called fishing not catching. Even if you don't catch fish take the opportunity to learn about the island, the sea, the fishing history, and the fishing grounds. Captain Tarek was happy to answer all our questions and we learned a lot. MAHALO!

The captain was very nice, but the trip was basically just riding on the boat. We couldn’t even catch any baitfish, so catching big fish was out of the question. We only spent about 15 minutes actually fishing—the rest of the time was just spent searching for fish. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Try to be flexible on day of fishing. The Captain suggested we change it by 1 day due to ocean conditions worsening on Wednesday when we booked compared to Tuesday. I’m all for those kind of suggestions!

If you wanna catch some good fish you gotta be wiling to go where the fish are rough or calm seas. If you want a nice calm ride be prepared to not catch as many fish. Remember your fishing not boating.

I'm 72 years old and have a little bit of a mobility problem. The crew is very helpful as I moved around the boat. Make sure that I did not fall. If you need to help during your fishing trip, this crew is definitely a recommendation on my part create.

Book a longer trip than 3 hours if you are set on landing a big fish. And troll as much as possible.

Later evening and morning fishing would probably have been better, but we got into the for sure in the last hour or two

Definitely bring non-drowsy motion sickness pills, especially if you've never been on a ship
