Reeling in a marlin is a “bucket list” experience. If you’re looking to take home fish you should look for a boat that is targeting smaller fish. If you want to take your chances to catch the fish of a lifetime and look for Marlin then I highly recommend five star fishing.

Do it! It’s fishing. Not catching! But if you’re somewhat of a fisherman or outdoors person, you’d understand. Sometimes the fish has the better of you and sometimes you have the better of them. The important thing is to pay attention to the crew to see how they are changing up rigs and tactics to put you on fish!

Make sure the captain and crew are knowledgeable about what you are catching. There are a lot of endangered species or illegal to catch fish in hawaii so if not could get in some big trouble real fast

This is definitely a first time, small catch, family fun type of outing. Boat was great for a party of 4, unsure how it would be for more people. Please note, taking seasick meds with you is probably a good idea, even if you think you won't need them.

Trust they will take you out to the right fishing grounds. Can be slow due to weather at times but they will bite.

Remember it's fishing. If people caught a monster fish everytime they went out, everyone would be a sport fisherman for a living.

Ask for Captain Eric, him and Lucas were excellent and explained everything very well as to what to expect and how to bring it in.

This crew will go out of thier way to make sure you get a fish. They tried everything and it ended up working out. Amazing knowledgeable crew that was fun. Definitely would book again!!

Set your expectations. It's called fishing and not catching for a reason but the Captain and crew did their very best.

I picked a trip that would be good for first timeers...kids. I was completely satisfied with the whole trip.

Fishing anywhere is unpredictable; fish don’t bite, aren’t there, the weather is crappy, the water is turbulent, etc. The experience is worth it.

Can't say we got false advertising for deep sea fishing but did not get deep sea fishing instead we got a boat ride and some sailing.

2 hour trip is reasonable price to get out on water and catch reef fish.... big stuff you wanna go half day at least.

Phoenix, AZ
Make sure for this trip you are physically fit enough and don't get really seasick.

Bring lots of money and take a marlin charter or fish from shore, like I see the locals doing.

Take a shorter trip before jumping in big.
This trip would be good for kids greater than 12

Do your homework and understand the season availability of the species you are targeting.

Great couple of hours on the ocean with Captain Danny & first mate Issac on the Sashimi.

Relax and enjoy the day. Fishing is fishing. Some days are great and some are not.

Rey Trevino

Go with the attitude of fishing, instead of catching. If you catch something that is a plus.

Thomas Gaffka

Maybe not be the first trip out for the day. That or book for longer than just 2 hours.

keep your fishing expectations to a minimum. The boat experience was good however.

It is deep sea fishing, so it can be rough out there. Beautiful area to fish in!
