What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Red Hook, U.S. Virgin Islands for the first time?

Fish on the moons first few phases and not when the water is choppy. North side seemed to be better fishing but the rough sea kept us from going that way.

if you wanna get on the fish, fast, red hook is the place to be. We were out on a fish within a half hour.

Be prepared for a foul smell at the pier. St Thomas’ government really needs to clean that sea grass crap up. It’s not fair to residents or visitors.

Bring sunscreen. The sun in the islands is brutal. Long sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes, anything to shield yourself from the sun

Yes. Might be a little difficult for young children but for me and my wife it couldn’t have been any better!!

We were offered in shore or deep sea fishing when we first started. We decided on the deep sea. The weather was awesome. A good captain or charter will give you options that maybe weather dependant.

We actually fished out of St. John but I am sure the experience and waters would be the same.

Super easy, pick up at the national park dock! Double header was a great experience!
