What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Carolina for the first time?

Just know this is not a big boat with regular seats. You are sitting on the ridge of the boat the whole trip and you are not casting the poles. If you are looking for a deep sea fishing experience on the ocean this is not for you. Spend the $1,000.00 on another tour. If you want a small more intimate fishing experience with a fun captain then it is a great trip.

Bring a cooler if you want to keep your catch. Leave the little ones at home - these are substantial fish that I would recommend for teenagers and above. Pick a charter like Captain Jose with the larger boat to make the trip smoother than on a smaller boat and invest in the 3/4 or full day trip to insure value and catch potential.

Load up on sunscreen. Bring lots of water, snacks, depending on how long your trip is. Listen very carefully to your guide!

Go with Francisco . He will show you exactly how to catch these fish. He had everything we could possibly need from drinks , to sun screen to bug spray . Just great

Fishing takes lots of patience and time. Catching fishing is never 100% guarantee. So you may not catch anything at all, but at least you get out on the water, relax and enjoy the scenery.

Wear plenty of sunscreen and be patient remember it's fishing, you may have 15-45 min of no bites and all of a sudden BAAAM, all hands on deck!!

Bring long sleeve UPF shirt and a good hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. And always remember to tip your captain!

You have to work for these fish and you may only boat a few out of several hookups so tamper your expectations.
