What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Lafitte, Louisiana for the first time?

Great fishing! It's warm in July so wear sunscreen and/or cover up. The scenery is absolutely beautiful as well. And inland fishing is great because for those who get seasick, there are minimal waves. Great for all ages and abilities.

These guys will find fish any day of the year. If you are planning a trip around fishing come when the trout are running and book an entire day.

We went when the temperature was very high. Bring plenty of water and light weight clothing. Cooling neck cloth would be good.

Great time of year to fish. Weather is warm but not smoking hot and the red fish bite was on when we were there.

Bring warm clothes if the temperatures are below 50. The wind from the boat ride made it a cold ride.

Talk to your captain and see what fish are bitting, ask if the salt water is in because that will also determine what fish are around

Bring water! Plenty of it! Hydrate the day before. Bring some sunscreen. Keep a positive attitude!

Don’t give up sometimes it takes time to find them but when your captain does it’s awesome

Sea trout are the ones that are the best to catch, red fish are better in Oct/nov

Fish midweek if possible. We went on a Tuesday, and Ryan had access to all of his honey holes.

Don't go in March when the water is muddy and high, wait until the water warms to at least 70F and is running somewhat clear. Expensive Lesson Learned!
