What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Barataria, Louisiana for the first time?

You never know what is on your hook. We caught just about everything in the water. Redfish, Black drum, sheepshead, freshwater catfish, NOT ONE HARDHEAD! A Stingray It was a wonderful experience Thanks Captain Chad. Cannot recommend higher.

Expect lots of little saltwater catfish to steal your bait. We moved a bit then got our max of redfish within an hour - all 8-15 lbs with frozen shrimp bait.

Boat was top notch. Captain Josh was a fish whisperer. Knew exactly where they were and how to get them on a hook.

May/June and Sept/Oct are better times to fish, but we did ok for such a cold and windy day
