What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Orleans, Massachusetts for the first time?

Expect nice weather in July, but be aware of the forecast and prepare. Reeling them in takes a bit of strength and endurance, I had to rest after two 10 lbs stripers, I'm still paying for it 2 days later, but I don't care at 71.

It’s hit or miss between stripers and blues this time of year. You can catch numbers of one species one week and few of the other, and then the next week it can switch. Sometimes you can find both species around and willing to bite. Depends on water temps and bait availability.

Rock Harbor is a great place to take a fishing trip from. Beautiful boats, friendly Captains and a icon restaurant to boot.

Be prepared for everything from calm abd sunny to overcast with wind and waves.

Be prepared to be flexible of time and place for departure, because the weather and the fish migrations change quickly from day-to-day listen to the captains recommendations.

Water was a bit rough and unpredictable- go with a larger boat as the smaller charters needed to cancel

Sometimes the stripers are easy to find sometimes you have to work to find them but when you do you’re in for a good time

Capt Steve knows these waters and with 45+ years of experience he’ll make sure you’ll have a wonderful time and catch a lot of fish.

Technically we were in the waters off Provincetown. The bite was on for both stripers and bluefish and the ocean mammals were in close to shore which was an added bonus!

I had an unbelievable experience today… too 3 fishing experiences I’ve had in my life.. this charter is sick… great guys…. Great fishing.. you can’t pay for more then that

Be ready for all types of weather these guys are rain or shine but know how to catch!
