What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Barnstable, Massachusetts for the first time?

We were fishing as the tide was going out. I don't know if Captain John had a fish magnet on board but we seemed to be pulling in fish from 16" to 46". In a party of 4, we managed to catch 20 fish off of squid jigs. It seemed to be quite the active day, with temperatures in the 80s and very little clouds in the sky.

Bring layers as you would for any normal scenario on the water. It could be warm or cold, especially en route to fishing destinations.

Don’t be afraid the fish for Tuatog. I do a lot of fishing & pound for pound, they are hard fighters & fun to pull in!!
