Book a full day so you can go out deep after the big fish like blue marlin and sailfish. We didn't catch a huge number of fish but the 10 ft blue marlin made up for the number. Took about an hour of our trip just to get him to the boat.

If you plan to bring your own terminal tackle, make sure that the captain and deckhand will allow you to use it. Also, ask about what type of fish is in season and what will you be going after during your trip such as if you would like to do a combo trip (both offshore and bottom fishing either on your way out or coming back in.

There are better times of the year but we are here now and we had a great day. A bad day fishing is better than a good day in the office!!

Carefully communicate the type of fishing you want to do. If you're bringing children or women confirm that there is a working head.

Full day is best to get out as far as you need to fish for the big fish. Bathe yourself in sunscreen!

Check the reviews on fishingbooker.com and book your trip from there. Allin Sportfishing out of Herradura was awesome.

Don’t go on day after full moon. Seen some big ones but just weren’t bitting
