Understand the basics of a sea rod and how to reel in a fish, otherwise expect a long trip with no fish. Captain can help you out with reeling it in, but may not know enough English to explain the concepts if you are a complete beginner.

Weather was good, water was good, fishing seemed a bit slow but still a great experience. Sunscreen is needed and be prepared for wrestling some big fish.

Get plenty of rest and if you’re looking for peace and tranquility, avoid Cabo San Lucas and head to San Jose Del Cabo

The San Jose side is a good option for bottom-fishing. Should definitely land fish and have a great time!

Target species for bottom-fishing when running out of San Jose. I'd opt for a 6-hr trip vs the full day and pack my own lunch.

Water was cool and calm, fish were not that aggressive. Got lucky with the crevalle jacks, most Hollywood setting everything up well
