Find a guide who knows the water and has experience with landing different styles of fish. It's important that they have proper working equipment and fishing tackle. Make sure they have a contingency plan if the boat has issues. Make sure you have bug spray and sun protection. Make sure you have the proper fishing license and Florida wildlife book for information on size limits and creel limits.

I would definitely recommend fishing in Palmetto. 2 hour trip was good but 4 would have been great.

Today was a little windy but we caught lots of fish. Some too small to keep but still had awesome time.

As expected the bite is best first thing in the AM. Bring your hat sunscreen, sunglasses and stay hydrated!
