What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Astoria, Oregon for the first time?

This was my wife’s first time. He made her first experience a memory for a lifetime. Your wife’s will love going on his boat.

I recommend booking with Robert Vernon; Out Fishin and be prepared together wet! Bring all weather gear. There is storage on the boat.

Fishing in July is a great balance between catching fish but not being too crowded with the number of boats in the water.

We were there and the weather was windy so it was hard to catch any fish. But, our guide was awesome and tried very hard to make it happen

Take lots of layers of clothing, including rain gear, and sun screen. Weather can change quickly on the river. A sunny day on land, may be chilly out on the water. Great fishing out of Astoria.
