I should have been informed the day I booked the trip that this was one of 5 days that the state closed fishing at Buoy 10, which is what I booked. I would have rescheduled the trip to a day when we could actually fish Buoy 10. As a result, the boat we were in was not built for open ocean fishing. We all got soaked and my back hurt from repeatedly slamming on the swells in the ocean in this boat with no cover or cabin. That's not the experience I booked. It was much smoother on the river and at Buoy 10. I'm glad that we brought home 2 salmon, but that's not much for 4 of us on a very uncomfortable trip, and the captain cut the trip short by 2 hours because of wave conditions as well.

Reese was great! He really cares about his customers catching something and leaving the ocean with seafood!

We were fishing toward the end of salmon season. Amazed we got any bites at all and super happy we caught a large keeper!

Smart to over prepare for changing weather conditions, there’s nowhere to hide and on the water it can be cold and rough. There’s no bathroom so just know and adjust.

Ocean conditions need to be considered. Our group got seasick. Can’t fish inside bouy 10 until August 1st. Consider targeting Sturgeon. Awesome fighting fish.

Fish in the bay\river. It may be rough going across the bar for a newbie. But expect to catch fish, because you will!

Get ther in daylight the day before to see where to park. At night it is pitch black and you have no idea where to go.. Get there early.

Great harbor, great charter co. Columbia River is an entity unto itself, so awesome to be out on it.

Understand that it's great to catch fish but depending on weather and conditions of the water there is no guarantee on leaving with fish.

This is a great trip for first timers. Billy is very knowledgeable and patient. Safety is his priority.

Dress warmer than you would expect for July. Rain jacket to cut the wind is a good thing to pack.

We came in Sept. Perfect time to fish. Not crowded but was still able to land fish. Great time.
