I wouldn't recommend fishing in September, the fish were not biting very much, our group of 6 only caught 2 fish within a 10 hour window. Your experience may be better than ours. The charter was great though.

Maybe this was just a bad time this year cause of the weather but we had lots of bite just couldn’t seem to keep anything on the line if you know the area well and can plan for the weather just keep an eye out

Booking with Ali Kat Fishing is a great way to ensure you come away with fish you can take home and eat that same day. They know where to find the best fish and they have all the necessary tools to get it done right and quickly! We managed to catch enough fish to feed everyone in our family that same day, which exceeded our original expectations! ~~Jennifer Gilbertson, Mount Airy, MD

Book your trip with Buck Nasty and Capt. Tommy will get you on fish! Bring sunblock/snacks/drink/a cooler to take your fish home

Gina Dewald
We ended up switching last minute to Morehead because of the waves at EI based on Tommy’s suggestion and I’m so glad we did!

Jessica Stowell
It’s a bit warm for most of the bigger fish. Fall is a better season. however, the captain was fantastic.

Late June is rough, your options for inshore are Spanish Mackerel and sharks. May & August open up your options a lot more.

If you don’t have polarized sun glasses, it is highly recommended to get some. Cuts the glare from the water and improves your visibility.

Be understanding that it is fishing and you may not catch alot of fish, but enjoy the scenery and being able to live in a free country where you can have fun like this.

First time on a charter? Captain William is your best choice. Experienced, knowledgeable and helpful in making your fishing experience fun.

It's hot. Drink lots of water. Some days are better than others but that's why it's called fishing and not catching

Go early in the AM the bite is better than the afternoon. Can be slightly cool early in the AM would recommened a hoodie and light pants for the first hour or so.

We didn't fish Emerald Isle. We went out of Beaufort but the fishing was great and the weather was beautiful. I had a great time.

Adam Williamson
Don’t set high expectations and just enjoy the time out with friends and family. Might be great fishing but will most likely be a great time either way.

When you book, look at the time time of year it is. If you book too early you will miss a very good fish.

Fishing is great from the surf to going out in the boat. Not so many people that you could not enjoy the beach.

We surf fish every time we come down. We had another great successful trip! ( This is actually the reason we come down is to surf fish)
