We continue to have an excellent season of Golden Dorado fishing. Today, there were many strikes. We managed to land 6 and many others managed to get off our hooks. We fished in a bank area, in the Rio de la Plata (the widest river in the world). We used 8/0 hooks, with 50 lbs steel leader and a 10 gram lead weight, which allowed the river current to move the bait at mid-water. I caught the bait early in the morning. These are small fish that here in Argentina we call "sabalitos" and that are the preferred food of all the predators **hidden content** around here. The Golden Dorado usually attacks everything that moves and is within its reach. For this reason, we also had several strikes on our floating artificial lures, quite a spectacle to see them hunt on the surface!! Today we had a very good day of fishing!!! There was a lot of golden dorado. We were able to land several on board. Even one weighing 5 kilos and several weighing 3 kilos. We used live bait and it was also a good idea to use pieces of piranha that we caught there. Bottom fishing was better than floating fishing. The water temperature remained between 24 and 26 degrees, depending on the area. We had to fish with the river in low tide and in the morning, moderate wind from the south/southeast quadrant. We continue fishing for Golden Dorados in the Río de la Plata Many bites, among several small ones, we have been able to catch some of good size. Fish us better on the bottom than floating. We use yellow catfish as bait, a fish called mojarra and small pieces of another fish called boga. Beautiful day!!! Fishing sheltered from the wind and with the river always down. We had another beautiful day of fishing. There are many Golden Dorados biting. The majority are still small or medium-sized, with the occasional large one. There is also a good bite of catfish and some Stingray. We fish with live bait and catfish heads. Depending on the height of the water and the current, we do it at half water or at full depth with a small lead. We use 5/0 and 8/0 hooks. Reels loaded with 0.25 mm multifilament and fishingroads from 7 to 15 pounds. It's a very good time to fish non-stop Captain Mauricio

On our half-day fishing trip, in the Rio de la Plata, we had some small golden dorado bites. They ate the bait very quickly and made it difficult to stick. However, we were able to land one of them!! We fish with live bait, float line and always moving. The golden dorado is a hunting fish and the movement and sound of the bait in the water attracts a lot of attention. We were also able to catch some fish that in Argentina we call tararira and that are very similar to wolffish. They have big teeth, they are very territorial and with slightly warmer water, they take almost any type of lure very well. On Tuesday, June 11, we went on a fishing trip with Patrick and his son. They wanted to fish for dorado and that's where we went. We used different fishing techniques and managed to catch 8 golden dorados. We used live bait and filets of small catfish, which we made more attractive by throwing to the other end of the stream and collecting the line, alternating between pulls and stops, using the fishing rod.
