The white trout are still biting lretty well amd the puppy drum have started showing up a little. We have been seeing the bald eagle and osprey wuiet a bit as it cools off as well.

The water was calm and beautiful ober the weekend. The speckled trout and white trout are growing and the bull reds are starting to show up.

I had the opportunity to take Mr Glenn out for a half day trip this Wednesday. It was a nice sunny day, with a brisk Northeast wind. We tried artificial but the fish wanted live shrimp. After several smaller resfish, Mr Glenn hooked and landed this nice 31” redfish. For the cold water temperture , this dude pulled drag and made a great ending to a tough but great day on the water. A day on the water is always a good day to me though. Sharing good company and catching fish are always just a bonus.

The past few weeks have been all over the place with the weather. The water temps have definitely cooled down. Low 50s has been normal. I have been focusing on the back bayous and creeks chasing trout. Live shrimp has been the ticket in the deeper holes. Caught about 2 dozen this past trip with a few sheepshead sprinkled in there as well. Kept a few for the grease and let the rest grow for the next person.

The last week of November was a good week of fishing for the Thompson Brothers. We had two cold, but nice days of fishing. Two nice six hour trips spent around the Bay of St Louis and the Pearl River Basin. Day two was alot of catch and release with a few nice redfish, sheepshead and flounder for the grill.
