I had as my guests today Coker and his family from Mississippi. It was a fishing trip he gave to his wife and daughter who both had birthdays last week. It was a perfect day and as soon as we got to our spot on Lake Pontchartrain, we had nice trout coming in the boat cast after cast. It was a fast bite but when the tide stopped running the bite slowed so we moved around a little but we returned to our first spot and picked up a few more before heading in. Today we had 24 speckled trout, we also caught flounder, freshwater catfish, croaker, and managed to get a 4ft. alligator gar up to the boat before it broke off. It was a great trip and a wonderful birthday celebration. I have openings in the next few weeks, so book your trip while the fishing are biting.

Today I had Kevin and Russ from Wisconsin as my guests for a 4 hour trip in the lake. The wind was up early but we tucked in the north end of train tressel and the fun began! On the first cast we had a nice trout and many more to follow. The bite would come and go, but was steady until 10 a.m. when we headed in. Our total for the morning was 14 trout up to 2 lbs., 4 flounder, and 1 redfish. It was a fun trip and guys were a lot of fun to fish with. I have several openings in the next few weeks, so book a trip before the bite ends!

I had of pleasure of having Mike and his brother Chuck, from Michigan, as my guests for a three day trip. The winds were up each day but we were able to slam the speckled trout and other species putting over 90 fish on ice. Our catch was mostly specs but we also caught flounder, black drum, sheepshead, bass, croaker, catfish,and even a alligator gar. These guys were great to fish with and are already looking forward to coming back next year.

I fished with Doc. Weiss to today in Lake Pontchartrain and he caught a 30 lb. black drum! We also caught speckled trout, sheepshead, flounder, and catfish. A great time was had by all. The Lake is really starting to get hot. Many boats who fished yesterday caught over 50 speckled trout. Book your trip now, as the best dates are going fast!

I had Garrett and Ben on board from Colorado on Saturday for some really good redfish action. The stormy weather had the water dirty, so we headed to a secluded area between Lake Borgne and Lake Pontchartrain and found some hungry redfish and a few specks. We we using live shrimp under popping corks and the action was good early but then slowed down, so we moved around a little until the bite ended. We then ventured over to the tressels in Lake Pontchartrain and ended the day picking up one more redfish and a big freshwater channel cat. The guys were great fisherman and a blast to fish with. I am booking up fast in April and May so pick a date and let's go fishing!

I had the pleasure of having Toni G and her family as my guests on Tuesday. Her son had just proposed to his fiance and her parents were here and they wanted to celebrate the occasion with a fishing trip. After a little instruction they were all casting and soon the fish began coming over the gunwales. When the action was hot, we even had two at time action on double rigs. The fish were a little on the small side today with quite a few throw backs, but they still managed to put 33 trout in the ice chest, which was more than they were able to eat for dinner that night! The action is hot right now so now is the time to book your trip. The fish today were all caught on live and dead shrimp and plastic lures. We fished near the end of the MRGO leaving from Shell Beach.
