Summer is here and the speckled trout are as hot as the weather!

Winter finally showing its face here in Texas. Come get in on the bite while its hot.

This little guy was shocked in the cold weather. We moved him to deeper water for him to swim home.

Our Texas weather has been playing games with us these past few weeks. One day, light wind out of the southeast and the next is 30mph out of the north. The trout bite has defiantly been affected by it. Some days we catch numbers of good fish and other days we have to switch gears and go for redfish. Once the weather subsides the bite will return and make the fish easier to pattern. We are still needing that magic 70 degree mark to hang around for the better part of a week. This summer will be one of the best in a long time. We have caught a large number of trophy size trout this year and I believe this past winter is really going to help our summer time bite.

Spring time can bring high winds and red hot action trout fishing. We have been catching alot of big females the past few weeks and catching numbers. It will only get better as the water continues to hit 70 plus water temps.
