Sharks moved in plenty of Spanish mackerel some bigger blues as well. Big red drum out in the ocean in schools if u look hard enough. Some moonfish false albacores and Atlantic bonitas as well. It was a very good week!

Atlantic bonita Spanish mackerel bluefish false albacores sea bass and several large sharks for the week! Summer fishing is on now with water temperatures in the high 60s and 70s. Bait moved in thick with the light east winds were having now.

Water has finally started to warm after a cold spring. Had good catches in the last week of Spanish mackerel, bluefish, Atlantic bonita, sea bass and a couple sharks finally one was a 200lb hammerhead. Saw a few cobia too

Water temperature has finally started to come up. Cobia are being spotted daily. The Spanish mackerel have shown up in good numbers. Blues to 3lbs around the inlet on outgoing tide. Some sea bass still on ghr wrecks. Sharks are just starting to show up the water has been cold. I look for the shark bite to happen in ghe next 2 weeks once the water hits 70.

We have been battling cold fronts and cold water all spring but i think we’ve finally turned the corner! Last week week had good cobia fish several days along with Spanish mackerel. Both of these species are warm water fish so the migration is on. Nice bluefish back in the sound and along the beaches. Sea bass fishing has been good as well on the wrecks, they are incredible on the table. Red drum have disappeared maybe in June theyll show back up. Next week we usually get a big shark push with warning waters. I enjoy shark fishing when its on. Forecast calls for a week of warming temps and lighter winds this week which will undoubtedly help us kick off summer.

Waters warming and the fish are on the move! Big red drum south of us in Hatteras along with Spanish mackerel. A few black drum schools showed up here this week. Nice 2lbto 5lb blues showed up in the sound today. Mid May we should see the cobia run start but thats all weather related as is allfishing. Nice sea bass on the wrecks too. It’s getting ready to happen here on the outer banks!! Lets go fishing
