Great Early Run of Flounder!
March 31, 2023
We usually see our first flounder in early April. This year, however, we've been having a steady catch of nice keepers since mid March. Very busy with spring breakers this upcoming week so hopefully will have nice catches to report on. Please remember it is early so dress for 10 degrees colder than the forecast is calling for. Will report again in 2 weeks so stay tuna'd. Aloha!

And So It Begins!
March 16, 2023
Tina and Gregg from Warrenton VA. get the season rolling early with a couple surprise flounder. The water was a chilly 44 degrees, too cold for fish to bite, but don't tell it to these flatties. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come! Aloha!

Recharging The Batteries (Spring Version
February 28, 2023
This month we kick off fishing 2023 with a Key Largo Bonefish trip. Bones are the fastest things with fins and terrified of their own shadows (if you spent your life in 2 feet or less of water surrounded by barracuda and sharks you'd be terrified too!). Using a stealthy kayak we were able to get close enough for numerous shots at feeding fish, resulting in three to hand. Success and a great start to the season. Bring on those flounder!

Who Are You Talking To?
February 1, 2023
Groundhog day finds us prepping gear and working on the boat. This is booking season! When you are researching who you'd like to book a trip with, an important question to ask is "are you the person we'll be fishing with?". Often you'll find the person attempting to answer your questions is a booking agent, tackle shop owner, or spouse of the Captain. Their answers will not be reliable first hand reporting, but vague optimistic responses designed to sell the trip. When you inquire with Chincoteague Bay Adventures, you will be speaking directly with me, the Captain who will host your trip. I invite you to always ask " Will we be fishing with you?".

Getting Through the Heart of Winter
January 9, 2023
The quiet time is upon us. Some waterfowling, some kayaking and a few well chilled fish keep us on the water even on the coldest days. Thoughts are turning to the season ahead. The first of the flounder should show around April fools ( gotta be a fool to fish that early, but we do). Things should be humming by May and then just hang on until fall. Big news for the coming season is no change in our pricing (for now). We'll fish smarter. Concentrate even more on flounder. Stick to the mission, Affordable Family Fun Fishing. Book now, spring will be here quick. See ya on the sea, Capt. Tim

Taking Stock
November 26, 2022
As the short days of winter set in we look back at the season that was, and the season to come. Flounder were definite stars of the show in 2022 with a great showing in late summer and fall. We hope to pick up where we left off come April. Sharking was productive and tapered off in September with the cooling water. I'm getting a number of reservations for next season being bought as Christmas gifts. I have not yet adjusted pricing for next year. Any trips sold at current pricing will be honored at that price, making this a good opportunity to give a gift and save some money too. I look forward to us fishing in 2023. Have a safe winter, Capt. Tim
