What an incredible day out at sea. The Caribbean was at its very, very best - calm, transparent and so blue. Beautiful. Aside from enjoying a memorable day along the southern Riviera Maya coastline, we hooked a Mahi Mahi, some snapper and also some triggerfish. And a delicious lunch, including fresh ceviche which Captain Leo made on the boat, was enjoyed by all. Can't wish for a more perfect day out at sea.

In spite of the fact that fishing has been slow lately, we managed to bag two Mahi Mahi and had a lot of fun giving it our best on the water.

So good to be out at sea again!! We managed to hook two barracuda and a few reef fish. First day that we had both of our boats out deep sea fishing out of the Puerto Aventuras marina.

After a well deserved vacation, our captain and crew are back. And we are out at sea fishing & having fun! And even better news: we now have TWO BOATS! Our original 40ft Luhrs and the latest addition to our fleet, a 38ft Bertram. Let's go fishing!

Bring lots of sunscreen and use motion sickness preventive. Depending on where you are fishing at, the waves can be pretty big and our group struggled with motion sickness even with dramamine 2 hours before the trip.

Get good directions to marina. Puerto Aventuras golf estate and marina entrance is not marked and it is right of the main road gated and guarded. Inside the estate the streets are not clearly marked

I would definitely recommend Dramamine or some type of motion sickness medicine. People getting seasick really can ruin a trip fishing.

Find a captain who's been on those waters for decades and you'll find any fish that are there. Would have loved to have gotten into the sailfish species but the fish aren't going to change their migration for my schedule.
