Another awesome day out on the Mexican Caribbean. Weather and sea conditions were just right, in fact, August has been the first month in the entire year that we have not had to cancel trips due to weather! This has been fantastic news for us who like to fish, as calm seas mean that no one felts uncomfortable on the water. An atypical month but perfect for us. :) And just when we thought the season would slow down, Mahi Mahi were jumping out of the water again. This meant that our Pescado Adventures crew could prepare some delicious, fresh ceviche to enjoy after hours of tight lines.

Be patient and have realistic expectations. September is one of the slower months for fishing so don't expect to catch fish one after another. It could be an hour or two between fish. That is fishing! Just enjoy the ride, enjoy the scenery, and be ready for when the bite is on.

I would get some anti-nausea meds for the boat. It’s rough but that is normal. I don’t get motion sickness and I’m glad I got some meds to ease the trip.

The way out to the fishing spot can be kind of rough. If you get seasick easily, bring Dramamine. The way out is against the waves for about an hour, but that makes you earn it.

The captain was very responsive and easy to work with from time of booking to cleaning the fish! I would recommend the charter as they know the waters and seasonal fishing in July. We caught fish on the 1st cast and hit until the bite was done, all the other boats followed our lead this day!
