Bring sunscreen and apply liberally. Bring a hat. Bring snacks for in between most boats wont provide. Bring hydrating packages to put in the water bottles they provide. Bring YOUR OWN freezer bags for your catch. They do the fillets but give you a shopping bag for all your catch. So if you want all your fish separated once, you will have to provide the bags

The water was teeming with fish. We were fishing a busy weekend with a local Mahi tournament going on as well. Lots of boats plus windy day made for some rougher waters. But the fishing was great. We did one day backwater with a different outfit and then this trip. Both days were super productive. I fish the Keys a few times a year, May is the best for variety and catch ratios IMO.

Tail Gator Charters
Captain Tony & Travis were really good at putting on the fish and we started catching fish right away. We caught about 30 yellow tail snapper, some bonita and a blue parrot fish (beautiful) that we returned. About 16 lbs of fillets net. Great day.

The weather was great. Not too hot!
It was a little windy but Captain John knew how to get into the quiet spots out of the wind.
I really like the end of April fishing here.
