Trip Summary
Billy gave me a call earlier in the week his buddy Donnie and the family were in town and looking to lock in a memory they wouldn’t forget. The target? Big snook. And let’s just say, the mission was more than accomplished. We met at the dock before the sun cracked the horizon, hoping to cash in on that early bite magic. With the Pathfinder 2300 HPS gliding across slick calm water, we soaked in the stillness of the morning—glass-flat seas, glowing skies, and nothing but anticipation in the air.
We rolled up to the first spot, tossed out the first bait, and BOOM, instant chaos. The bait hadn’t been in the water more than a second before it got absolutely smoked. Drag peeled, rods bent, and the crew was locked into a full-blown snook showdown. A stunning 33” side-liner that gave us a battle to remember.
The energy never let up. Between the epic fights, high fives, and nonstop action, it was the kind of day that etches itself into memory. Can’t wait to get this crew back on the water next year!
