These last two days, I welcomed aboard my boat, Sal_X, Dong Shin, a South Korean angler that brought with him a local fishing television cameraman. They were unusual, as we were fishing with Shark Morale lures. These lures work on the surface and dive for about 2/4 seconds. On the first day, we had our first strike, and the BFT's strength was so great that the leader (150 lbs) broke near the lure. On the second day, we had our first strike, and the BFT ran about 150 meters and unfortunately unhooked. We wanted action, and almost at the end of the day, we returned to conventional fishing. Within 30 minutes, we had a strike that got unhooked after 100 meters. Finally, on the last strike of the day, we got a BFT that ran 350 meters. We began a two-hour battle, with Shin constantly retrieving the line for the first 30 minutes. We were about 60 meters from the BFT, who was always trying to pull the line to sink and try to free himself from the lure. Finally, after a few approaches and runs by the BFT and maneuvers with the SAL_X boat, the BFT released the lure right next to us. Another successful release with a BFT full of life.
