Trip Summary
We've really struggled with the weather for the past week. Big swell rolled in and lots of rain and thunderstorms. I got out several times between storms. Today we hit a wreck and had a catch of triggerfish and nice bluefish while drifting it. Also missed a shark on a live bait rig. Plenty of throw back sea bass. In along the beach keeper Spanish mackerel were hitting in the 30-40ft range along with 1lb blues. It's time for the false albacores to show up. We need to get some cleaner water in here and with all the bait around they'd show. Look for good action from 7lb-12lb albacores, triggerfish on the wrecks with a few sea bass, big Spanish out in the sloughs and hopefully some kings in the next few weeks.
Let's roll give me a call!
