Trip Summary

7 hour charter- First cast with a very small trout rod and 8lb test for small bait fish we hook into a big thresher shark that we fought- circled the boat over a dozen times- mad house for about 45 minutes before releasing safely - approx 60-70 pounds with a 4 foot tail. Next fish was a legal 17 inch Calico Bass. Next was a 30 pound Pelagic Ray- dangerous stinger- released safely. Next was a small 2 foot Mako that we released safely- lip hooked. Next was another Big Mako that spit the bait- never saw size. Next MALE MAKO SHARK- we all ate him at Wind N Sea restaurant in the harbor- $25 per person and they cooked it ways-Cajun style and grilled w lemon, 2 sides per person so we got the garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and spinach. And they had plenty of awesome TARTAR SAUCE! Our other vessel the SCARAB "ROCKENREEL" had an awesome Bass bite today with non stop action.

5 hr trip we extended an hour for our active military and veteran on the charter- freedom is not free. We appreciate all the men and women that serve our country- thank you. Tomorrow we have more repeat military personnel joining the RockenReel family and they will get hooked up as well- we take care of are peeps! Today we crushed the Bass- non stop for 2 hrs. We trolled for bigger species for a couple hours and did not score. We did not fish for sharks today. We did also catch Barracuda and Maks. Saw the bonito but no go. Fun trips. I talked to the x air force client- the leader and very experienced angler from all over the world and this us how it went. We here at RockenReel Sportfishing are #1 in our 40 mile radius- thats how fishingbooker guages- we dominate Nerport Harbor, Huntington Harbor, Dana Point Harbor and Oceanside Harbor- hands down. We are striving to be the largest private six pack Sportfishing Charter Company in the USA and we are headed in that direction and may already have that title. HOW WAS YOUR 5 HR CHARTER? HOW WAS THE BOAT? HOW WAS THE GEAR? HOW WAS THE CREW? THIS CUSTOMER IS SMART AND A EXTREMELY SEASONED OLDER STUD THAT CHARTERS HARD CORE ALL OVER THE WORLD. HE GAVE US AN HONEST 9.8 STAR AND SAID THE CREW WAS GREAT, CAPTAIN SET THE AWESOME TONE, CAUGHT LOTS OF FISH AND THE BIAT WAS BIG AND CLEAN! BOOYA
