Trip Summary
We are on a increasing moon in fact, the super moon next week with a bull tide, a full pond, a strong Northeast wind and water everywhere. Normally dry ponds and creeks are flooded at the moment with fresh salt water coming off of the Gulf being pushed by the typical bull tides of the season. There are a few things that high water causes-the first and foremost it scatters the fish but also pushes the redfish up into areas they don’t normally get to forage so the guys that can get to them in the super skinny boats are enjoying some fantastic pulls while the others of us have been scrambling a little bit finding a bite here and there! black drum and redfish have been good for the taking and good for the table and seem to be re-energized by the cooler water and the change of seasons.
