Trip Summary

Had an awesome crew join us for a full-day fishing and lobstering combo trip! We took full advantage of the off-season conditions and practically had the ocean to ourselves — chasing massive bait balls stacked with blackfin tuna and keeping the rods bent. To top it off, we finished the day dropping for some big lobsters to bring home for dinner. This time of year offers great action and great rates… doesn’t get much better than that!

We battled over 20 knots of wind offshore looking for a sailfish, but with the kite bite quiet, we shifted our focus to the edge of the reef. The move paid off with steady action, landing cobia, mackerel, a giant triggerfish, and a trophy-size yellowtail snapper. Kite fished along the reef yesterday and had solid action throughout the day — caught a few mahi on the kite, hooked into a sailfish, and added a nice mutton snapper and a mackerel to the mix. Great variety and plenty of bites on the edge!
