It’s that time of year again — the ol’ Florida wardrobe shuffle. We’re layering up like it’s Alaska at sunrise and shedding it all by lunchtime when it feels like summer again. The bite’s been just as wild as the weather — redfish schooling tight, trout snapping, and flounder still pretending to be doormats. Mornings are crisp, fish are fired up, and by midday everyone’s sunburned and wondering where their hoodie went. - Captain Austin

Fishing’s been so good lately I had to double-check the boat wasn’t sitting in an aquarium. Reds are stacking up, sheepshead are chewing like they’re late for dinner, and even the flounder are getting brave enough to bite back. Weather’s been prime — cool mornings, sunshine, and just enough wind to remind you who’s really in charge out here. Clients have been catching, laughing, and occasionally providing excellent blooper reel material with their “creative” casts.

November showed up cooler than a redfish’s belly in the shallows, and the bite’s been hotter than a mullet in a bait ball. Reds are schooling up thick, trout are chewing like they missed breakfast, and flounder are stacking up like pancakes at Waffle House. Weather’s been perfect — light winds, cool mornings, and just enough sun to make you forget you’re supposed to be at work. Casting accuracy this week?
