I was very excited about today’s trip being that my good friends and high school buddies and I met up in Seadrift for a reunion of sorts-2 of the nicest gentlemen you’ll ever wanna meet - Joe and Richard. What a time we had talking about the old times and the new times and about our families and our lovely gals and children…we decided to work some deeper water today with drop offs anywhere from one to 3 feet And while we had some small action and a couple hookups, the keeper size Fish avoided our hooks on this morning outing. You never know what you get this time of year. Could it be the full moon phase or the cool front we had this morning will never know, but I’ll tell you one thing it didn’t really matter when you’re with these kind of folks Can’t wait till we get together next time and bring their better halves

Slow bite today with calm winds clearing skies, a falling tide and a cold front knocking on the door-however we were able to find a variety mostly speckled trout and mostly small fish up until about time to go and then keeper size trout made a showing-enough to keep the screw interested on their Port O’Connor weekend blast and cast.

Fishing with friends is the best especially when its been a while and so many life changes have taken place over the years…what a great day and company on San Antonio Bay! Why do I like fishing so much? This is the WHY
