Solid bite on the St. Johns River this week with redfish, speckled trout, and flounder showing up on the grass flats and oyster bars. Live shrimp and light tackle did the trick, producing steady hookups and a few quality slot reds and keeper trout for the box. Clean water and calm conditions made for great sight fishing and comfortable time on the water. Fun, productive trip and plenty of fresh fillets to take home. -Captain Austin
