We completed a great 3-day fishing trip in Guanacaste, Costa Rica aboard One More with Captain Arnaldo. Fishing different areas including Penaguaste and Los Raspados in Papagayo, the trip produced solid results. We successfully caught and released 4 roosterfish, along with 5 needlefish, 2 pompano, 1 bonito and 1 grouper. Conditions varied throughout the trip, but overall it was a very good sportfishing Costa Rica experience, targeting both inshore and reef species. A successful Guanacaste fishing charter with great action and happy clients.

We’re wrapping up a 3-day fishing adventure in Guanacaste, Costa Rica aboard One More with Captain Arnaldo, departing from Río Guanacaste. Day 1: We fished around Penaguaste with strong winds and tough conditions. Fishing was slow, but we still managed to land two pompano and one bonito. Day 2: A great day targeting roosterfish in Costa Rica. Fishing around Los Raspados, the crew successfully caught and released two roosterfish, plus one huge needlefish. The clients also had time to jump in the water and enjoy the ocean. Day 3: Still waiting on the final report. Another great sportfishing experience in Guanacaste, chasing roosterfish, pompano, bonito and needlefish along the Pacific coast.

This morning we ran a 4-hour fishing trip in the Gulf of Papagayo targeting roosterfish. We worked several offshore spots including the waters near the Catalina Islands, Penaguaste, and the Playa Ruedas sector, using bonito as bait. Although the roosterfish didn’t cooperate today, the group still caught several snappers, including red snapper, and one bonito. Another beautiful morning fishing the Pacific waters of Papagayo. ??
