If you’re looking for a sign to get out on the water, this is it! The Pescado Adventures team has been working overtime to put our clients on the fastest fish in the sea, and lately, the Caribbean has been delivering in a big way. We recently hosted a very cool family for a day of high-speed action off the Puerto Aventuras coast. The deep blue waters of the Riviera Maya were alive, and our spreads didn't stay quiet for long. The Stars of the Show: Wahoo & Sailfish We didn't just find one species; we found the heavy hitters. 1) The "Sea Tigers": Check out those stunning Wahoo! Known for their blistering first runs and incredible striped patterns, these are some of the most prized catches in the region. Landing a "double" like this takes a coordinated crew and a focused team of anglers. 2) The Acrobat: We rounded out the day by bringing a beautiful Atlantic Sailfish boat-side. Seeing the vibrant colors on its sail as it catches the Caribbean sun is a sight you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

Sailfish Success: A Full-Day Masterclass in the Riviera Maya The peak sailfish season was officially in full swing off the coast of Puerto Aventuras. For our 8-hour private charter on April 21st, we welcomed a group of anglers aboard our flagship 40ft Luhrs, Lobster Tales, for a day that defined Caribbean sportfishing. Under the command of Captain Leo, we utilized our tournament-grade Penn gear and fresh Ballyhoo to target the "Ferraris of the Ocean". The highlight of the trip came when this magnificent Atlantic Sailfish hit our spread, putting on a legendary acrobatic display that tested our guests' skill and endurance. Spending 8 hours on the water gave us the time to hunt effectively along the deep blue drop-offs, while our guests enjoyed the comfort of our air-conditioned cabin and signature fresh ceviche prepared right on board. After a professional handle for photos, the sailfish was safely released back into the deep, adhering to our strict conservation policies.

Double Trouble in Puerto Aventuras: Mahi-Mahi and Wahoo Success! The Caribbean waters off the coast of Puerto Aventuras were heating up! We recently welcomed a fantastic group aboard our 40ft Luhrs, Lobster Tales, for an all day session that reminded us why we love the Riviera Maya. With Captain Leopoldo “Leo” Cruz at the helm, we headed to the drop-off where the current was holding plenty of baitfish. It didn’t take long for the reels to scream. Our first prize was a stunning, vibrant Mahi-Mahi (Dorado)—a favorite for both the fight and the table. Shortly after, the speed-demon of the sea, a sleek Wahoo, hit the spread, testing our tournament-grade Penn gear.
