Trip Summary
Saturday Behind Brigantine, NJ
We took a group from Caesars Entertainment on a four hour back bay trip behind Brigantine, NJ. We caught fluke in all of the usual places, about 14 in all with 3 that could have come home for dinner, but we had no fish eaters aboard. Spearing and gulp caught equally as well. Of course, some dogfish were in the catch mix.
Sunday Brigantine Report
It was great to finally see the sun. We had the Campbell family out today. Started off trying for striper in Wreck inlet, but could not find an opening to get outside the breakers. We did chum for about a hour on the inside without a touch. Switching to drifting for fluke using spearing and gulp we fished through Little Mud, Betsey's, and Eagle Bay. The keeper ratio was 8 to 1 with one 22" fluke coming home for dinner.
