Tuna (Yellowfin)
Trip Summary
Trip Summary
Our new friends boarded with the illusion of debuting in Costa Rican waters on their first day in the country, and luck did not take long to respond: just an hour and a half after having set sail and just pulled the lines, pum! The rod was bent with the first yellowfin tuna of the day.
Unfortunately, the rough sea and aggressive waves began to do their thing. As we always recommend to our customers, going to the local pharmacy for preventive 'armament' for dizziness is key to enjoying the day 100%. We were forced to withdraw from the hot area for the comfort of the group just when a second tuna was released before we could secure the line.
On the return we tried to look for revenge in other points, but after almost 5 hours of battle (out of the 8 scheduled), the group preferred to cut the start and return to dry land to rest. A day of learning, a good tuna in the cooler and intact respect for sea conditions.
