Decent Bite this week. Looks Better next

We had decent fishing throughout the week. Some really good half days, and other slower half days. Kingfish are still biting and they are great for dinners. One of our customers this week caught a nice Kingfish and took home eating. Nothing beats eating fresh fish that you caught yourself! Here goes the week's report: Monday Half Day Morning Trip 6/15/2015: Had a total of 4 bites and managed to catch 2 nice tarpons and a mackerel on the reef Thursday Half Day Morning Trip 6/18/2015: Had a total of 2 BIG tarpon bites, fought a 60+ pound tarpon and lost it at boatside after a one hour fight. Customers were thrilled! Friday Half Day Afternoon Trip 6/19/2015: Had more tan 5 bites on the reefs, caught a 12-15 pound kingfish and lost 2 other nice ones on the fight. Customer took kingfish fillet home and said it was awesome tasting! They are!

Great Fishing on Christmas Week
December 27, 2016
This week the bite has been very good. Caught plenty of snook and jack crevalle on the back channels to keep us entertained. The story of the week was the monster tarpon caught on Wednesday the 27th. After a thrilling hour and a half fight, Capt. Luis managed to catch and release a huge tarpon estimated at 85+ pounds. One of the biggest tarpon caught this year.Continue reading

Tarpon and Snook at the Bay
May 29, 2016
Beautiful day with flat seas gave us the opportunity to do some early reef fishing to target the tasty King Mackerel and Yellowtail Snappers. To our surprise, the bite was very slow at the reef and after no action at the reef, we decided to target the tarpon and snook at the channels. On our way back to the channels, we found a huge bait ball in the middle of the Bay and managed to fill our two livewells with a single shot. We were ready for the tarpon! Tarpon were not rolling at the channels, but we knew they were there! 5 minutes after throwing in lines, we hook up with a huge snook that unfortunately pulled the hook after couple of minutes. They were biting! Next drift, we hook up with a decent 6 pound snook that gave a good fight and gave us the first catch of the day. On the next drift we were able to catch and release a decent tarpon as well. We decided to go back to the bay to target the elusive jack crevalle to complete our Inshore Grand Slam but no luck. We hooked up with another tarpon that pulled the hook after a couple of jumps. Overall, a successful fishing trip, happy clients and happy captain!Continue reading
