Hello Anglers, Finally after fishing for 21 days I have a chance to get a catching report out to all of you anxious to wet a hook. With the inshore water warming the larger bottom fish moved offshore where the temperature is more suitable at depths of 100 to 150 feet. The recent trips 50 miles offshore have been producing nice catches of Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Black and Snowy Grouper, Big Trigger fish, Vermillion Snapper, Mango Snapper and Amberjack. On a recent trip one group caught a 38" Scamp and a 25" Gag, limited out on Vermillion Snapper, wore themselves out on many 50lb Amberjack. The youngster in the group wanted a shark and what a shark they got with a 400lb Nurse Shark. I had a young man out celebrating his 70th birthday and matched his age with a 70lb Amberjack, these Reef Donkeys will wear out the most fit angler.. After boating the fish he handed the rod to my mate Terrell and said he is done. The King fish have started to show up and Pipe Dream Charters is ready to defend their first place title in the Jacksonville Greater Kingfish Tournament in July. This past week we have put several Kings in the box and have had numerous knock downs, short bites and rocketing displays from some nice smokers. Closer to shore the anglers are catching plenty of fish just not many to take home. This Past Sunday was a first for Pipe Dream Charters with Yellow Tail Snapper, this species is usually not found much farther north then Miami. If you are looking to put fish in the box the full day trip 50 miles offshore with Pipe Dream Charters is the catcher. With June coming to an end Pipe Dream Charters has 4 open days with July and August rapidly getting booked. If you are considering an offshore trip call Capt. Scott with Pipe Dream Charters to confirm a reservation. Until the next time "TIGHT LINES and BLUE SKIES" Capt. Capt. Scott Rocks

Had an incredible day with Pipe Dream Charters! ? Captain Scott, a former Marine and seasoned fishing guide, made sure our fishing trip was an unforgettable experience. Nonstop action from start to finish - we caught more than half a dozen different species of feisty fish and even went toe-to-fin with a couple of massive sharks! ? Hats off to Ronnie, our fantastic deck hand, who was always there to lend a hand - netting fish and re-baiting hooks with a smile. The teamwork was outstanding! But the adventure didn't end there - Captain Scott went above and beyond, recommending a fantastic restaurant, Kitchen 251, where we took our catch and they prepared it fresh for us. ?️ If you're looking for a day on a great boat with a top-notch skipper and a chance to reel in some impressive fish, Pipe Dream Charters is the way to go. Highly recommend this fantastic experience!Continue reading
Cooling Waters increase the bite
September 9, 2023
Hello Anglers, It's been a while since Captain Scott with Pipe Dream Charters has had the time to let everyone know what's biting. But with the change of seasons, the coming of Fall weather and cooling water temperature, has got me excited for an exciting Fall and early winter bite. In a few weeks the Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo will be making their way back south to escape the cold waters of the North Atlantic. Trolling for these pelagics will get the excitement going listening to one of these fish trying to spool the reel. Then top the day off bottom fishing the ledge for Grouper, Mutton and Mangrove Snapper and Triggers. Bottom fishing nearer to shore , Vermillion Snapper, Amberjack, Triggers and Grouper makes a great way to fill the box. For those anglers who do not want to venture so far off shore and have a shorter day, the Jetties is a great way to have some super Fall action with Bull Reds, Black Drum and Sharks. Recently, the Grouper bite has been great with Black and Gag Grouper within 25 miles offshore. Mix in some Vermillion Snapper, Triggers and Amberjack to fill the box and then some big Barracuda's for some fast action. June, July and August produced a good season, slow trolling for King Mackerel and there was no shortage of Cobia and some Sails. Yesterday on our way in, we had one of the few Tarpon still hanging around, rocket next to the boat. The cooling water temps will soon have these Tarpon looking for a warmer climate. Pipe Dream Charters offers a variety of trips ranging from 4 hours nearshore to 12 hours Blue water trolling and bottom fishing. To book your next excitement filled day of fishing call Pipe Dream Charters.Continue reading
