Trip Summary

TUNA FISHING COSTA RICA! Day 4 for Tim & Bob from Dorset today aboard 31’ GOOD DAY fishing in Quepos Costa Rica. We started the day gathering some Sardines for Livebait & then headed 25 miles Offshore where we immediately found a small group of Tuna. A couple of missed bites but no luck on the hookups so we turned attention to the Billfish. We missed 2 Sailfish aswell as a Dorado and by lunctime we had still not got a fish to the boat! Thankfully our luck changed in the afternoon when we found another group of Tuna & the guys had a fantastic couple of hours fishing catching 6 Tuna & losing a few more. Tim lost a 60 pounder at the Gaff after a 25 minute battle on super light tackle! Shout out to Allan Yates whose red/black & orange/black soft plastic lures mounted on jig heads were producing the fish & in fact outfishing live bait today! Offshore tomorrow with Martin & Lynne from the Isle of Man!
