We headed out at 7:10 a.m with Mr Nikolei and his son on a rainy morning with big yellow fin tuna as target because they have been showing up everyday.Jerome was setting the third lure in the spread when a marlin showed up behind our long corner lure.The fish missed the lure on the first bite and came again and missed again.It looked like he was very hungry.A few seconds later there was another attempt from the fish and we were hooked on.After two hours of changing tactics the fish was brought close enough for a gaff shot.The big blue marlin was estimated at 650 lbs.Our customer was more than happy to make the call and we headed back.That day there was a total of 21 Yellow fin tuna weighing between 121 lbs and 195 lbs caught in a local competition.
