Today we had Sandra and family for a 3/4 day trophy hunt. Sandra explained to us that this trip was her sons graduation present and he wanted a big shark. We started the day doing very well on Mangrove Snappers, Spanish Mackeral, and Lane Snappers . Once we had enough for lunch and dinner we waited for the tide to be right and headed to the shark grounds. Tough anchoring conditions which held us up a bit. Finally once we where locked in we started to chum they way we like to. 25 minutes in and we hooked and measured a 9 foot nurse. 45 minute fight for the youngster on spinning gear and walked us around the boat twice. Safely released the shark and headed back to the barn! Amazing day!
