Trip Summary
Trip Summary
It's a new year and I can't think of a better way to get it started then to go fishing. I have been on the water the past three days and so far this year the fishing is still hot. The mutton snapper bite is starting to pick back up and we are catching them of all sizes. We got our first cold front of the year finally and hopefully the drop in temperature will bring some of the bigger mutton snappers back inshore. The hot bite lately has come from the Porgys. They are hard fighters when hooked and an even more delicious on the table. Most people don't realize it but there meat is white and flacky and is one of my favorite to eat. We have also been catching some nice mangrove snapper and a few yellow jacks hear and there. The strange thing to me is that we are still finding plenty of bait and having no problem filling the livewell but the fish have been preffering shrimp over a live pilchard. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason as to what the fish will want to eat but if you don't have what they want it will be tuff catching anything. The weather and fishing is great so BOOK YOUR TRIP TODAY!!!!!
