These guys took a day off to go fishing. They took this catch to a local restaurant for a big lunch. These days you have to be prepared to catch a ton of catfish between the more desired reds, trout sea bass and occasional flounder. At least the cats keep you busy. The trout bite is good but, true to summer patterns we caught a bunch of just short trout and sea bass. Good times were had by all.

After an unfortunate prop collision with a rock, I thankfully got to borrow my sons boat to pull off this trip without cancelling and disappointing these Geargia boys. After a few days of most guides catching "shorts" we managed a respectable haul of 3 flounder a sheepshead, a black drum and a Mangrove snapper. They were accompanied by some jacks and other short flounder and black drum. At the end of the day a nice meat haul for dinner. It's already very hot. I'ld suggest get out early and get back before the Florida oven heats up!

Had the pleasure of meeting new friends from Pennsylvania, black drum on the menu. Flagler is still dealing with dirty water from the effects of Ian and really high tides but, the black drum have showed up. The catch all day consisted of these and small reds a sheephead some snapper and a mixed bag of other fish. No big drum but plenty between 14 and 16 inches. The fellas put the breaks on the take when enough was caught for dinner. As fall rolls along the bite will only get better and the sheepshead should start going off any time.
